Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Tuesday that the year 2026 will prove decisive for Uttar Pradesh in terms of technological development.

He said that the state government is working rapidly towards setting new standards in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), technology, and data, and Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a strong centre of the future digital economy.

The Chief Minister made these remarks in his letter addressed to the people of the state.

He said that due to improved law and order and good governance, Uttar Pradesh has become a trustworthy state for investors, which has given ‘Brand UP’ recognition in the country and the world. He informed that preparations are underway to develop AI cities in Lucknow and Noida.

Chief Minister Adityanath said that a semiconductor unit is being constructed in Jewar at a cost of approximately Rs 3,700 crore. He added that the state’s Data Centre Policy, formulated with the objective of promoting secure data and modern technology, is already showing positive results.

Yogi Adityanath said that five hyperscale data centre parks have commenced commercial operations in the state, and an investment target of approximately Rs 30,000 crore has been set for this sector.

He said that software technology parks have been established in nine cities of the state. Uttar Pradesh is also setting new benchmarks in the fields of drones, robotics, and mobile manufacturing.

The Chief Minister informed that under the ‘AI Yuva’ (AI Youth) initiative, 10 lakh youth in the state are being trained in AI, which is creating new employment opportunities. He appealed to the youth to take a pledge for the year 2026 and make the children around them aware of computers and AI. He also urged them to dedicate at least one hour every week to ‘sharing knowledge’.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that with the joint efforts of the government and society, not only will the goal of a developed Uttar Pradesh be achieved, but the state will also be established as a global capital of science and technology.
