Tech Explained: Here’s a simplified explanation of the latest technology update around Tech Explained: Snowflake, TVS Next partner to integrate factory, enterprise data for AI-led manufacturing decisions in Simple Termsand what it means for users..

Snowflake, a cloud-based data platform company, is partnering with TVS Next, an enterprise digital and AI services firm, to support data-driven transformation in the manufacturing sector.

As part of the partnership, TVS Next is using Snowflake as the underlying data and AI platform for NexOps, its operational technology and information technology intelligence layer. NexOps is designed to provide manufacturers with a combined view of plant-level operational data and enterprise systems, which are typically managed in separate environments.

By running NexOps on Snowflake’s data cloud, TVS Next aims to centralise structured, semi-structured, IoT, and partner data in a single environment. This allows real-time operational data from multiple plants to be processed and analysed without moving data across systems, supporting faster and more consistent decision-making.

TVS Next, which provides consulting, engineering, and managed services to global enterprises, has also shifted its own managed services onto Snowflake. The platform supports scalable data ingestion, governed access, and the deployment of AI and machine learning models across regions. Consulting teams design data and AI architectures, engineering teams build and run models, and governance teams manage access through role-based controls.

The combined platform is being applied to manufacturing use cases such as tracking equipment downtime, analysing overall equipment effectiveness, predictive maintenance, quality forecasting, energy monitoring, and cross-plant performance analysis. These applications are intended to help manufacturers move from reactive responses to data-led planning.

Internally, TVS Next is also using the platform to standardise data usage across leadership, operations, and customer delivery teams. The company says this has supported the rollout of new offerings, including manufacturing intelligence solutions and market data platforms.

Speaking on the collaboration, Vijayant Rai, Managing Director, Snowflake India, said, “For manufacturers to achieve true competitive advantage, they need more than just tools – they need a scalable, connected AI-ready data foundation. NexOps, built on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud, integrates and standardizes complex data models, enabling predictive insights that are essential to driving business value for a connected value chain in the manufacturing industry.”

Vinod Krishnan, MD & CEO, TVS Next, added, “By combining the strength of Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud with NexOps and TVS Next’s Inspire Consulting Framework, we’re giving manufacturers the agility, scalability, and intelligence to operate smarter and greener.”
