In a post on Instagram, Tharoor recounted the meeting with Raul John Aju, describing him as “a 16-year-old tech whiz who is doing incredible work in the field of Artificial Intelligence.”
The discussion went beyond introductions, focusing on the challenge of making technology accessible across India’s diverse linguistic landscape. “We spoke about the necessity for AI to transcend borders and, crucially, to speak the vernacular of our diverse land,” Tharoor said. He added that Raul and his team, including a friend named Ishaan, are already building AI systems capable of voice processing in Malayalam, Hindi, and Urdu.
