Tech Explained: Here’s a simplified explanation of the latest technology update around Tech Explained: Neutune seeks biz partnerships for its AI attribution technology in Simple Termsand what it means for users..
South Korean AI-music startup Neutune is emerging from its R&D phase in search of partnerships with the industry for its MixAudio platform and its surrounding technology.
On the surface, MixAudio is the latest ‘AI soundtrack generator’ that spits out music in response to text, image and audio prompts. However, the company is backing this up with its own attribution infrastructure to pay musicians when their work is used in that process.
The startup has hired veteran music and tech exec Virginie Berger [pictured] to steer its B2B expansion. She will be chief industry and rights officer at Neutune, tasked with striking partnerships and licensing deals with rightsholders.
CEO Lee Jongpil cited Berger’s “extensive experience and network in rights management, AI policy, and relationships with copyright organisations” as key factors in the appointment. Read her latest thoughts on AI trends in our recent Connect Chats interview.
