LTM, formerly known as LTIMindtree and part of the Larsen & Toubro Group, has announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to support the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) in upgrading India’s national tax analytics platform under the Insight 2.0 programme. The initiative, planned over seven years, aims to strengthen tax administration with scalable artificial intelligence and advanced analytics capabilities.

As part of the project, LTM will deploy a secure cloud-based environment powered by NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure to simplify large-scale data processing and provide real-time insights for CBDT. The platform upgrade is expected to enhance tax administration processes, improve compliance monitoring and support better decision-making through advanced analytics tools.

LTM’s BlueVerse platform will act as the core intelligence layer of the programme, integrating AI capabilities across multiple operational functions. The system is expected to support features such as an improved citizen-facing portal, automated campaign management, streamlined case workflows and AI-enabled helpdesk services. These tools are intended to create a more efficient and transparent tax administration system while improving the experience for taxpayers.

Gururaj Deshpande, Chief Delivery Officer at LTM, said the collaboration brings together NVIDIA’s expertise in AI computing with LTM’s BlueVerse platform to help build a scalable and citizen-focused tax system. He noted that the initiative is expected to support transparent processes, strengthen governance and enhance service delivery across India’s tax network.

Yogesh Agrawal, Vice President of Data Center GPU Business at NVIDIA, said accelerated computing and full-stack AI solutions can help modernise complex public-sector systems. He added that combining NVIDIA’s AI technology with LTM’s platform will provide a secure and high-performance framework for digital tax administration.

Insight 2.0 is expected to help the CBDT analyse large volumes of financial and transactional data more effectively, identify compliance risks, reduce leakages and improve operational efficiency. By enabling advanced analytics and automation, the programme aims to build a resilient, technology-driven tax ecosystem aligned with India’s digital governance goals.
