A decomposed monkey was discovered in a water tank at Shaheed Hasan Khan Medical College, located in Nuh. This alarming discovery has sparked allegations of negligence regarding tank maintenance among the residents.
The incident was uncovered on Tuesday when a foul smell prompted an inspection of water tanks in residential blocks EWS-1, 2, and 3. It is believed the monkey might have died four to five days ago. Residents voiced their concerns, claiming that inadequate cleaning of tanks led to their unwitting use of contaminated water for daily chores.
College Director Dr. Mukesh Kumar has ordered an inquiry into these allegations of lax maintenance. In response, measures such as affixing iron lids and installing nets are being considered to prevent future occurrences, despite no reported illnesses among staff or residents who used the water.
