In a strategic move to enhance conservation efforts and address human-wildlife conflicts, the Maharashtra government has announced plans to relocate 50 leopards to Reliance Foundation’s Vantara wildlife rescue and conservation centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

The decision, confirmed by sources close to state forest minister Ganesh Naik, aims to tackle increasing incidents of leopard-human interactions in Maharashtra. Discussions have taken place between Naik and the Vantara management, finalizing the arrangement.
