Delhi witnessed a pleasant weather change on Thursday, marked by breezy conditions and sporadic showers, with some areas recording up to 12.5 mm of rain, reports the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Weather experts attributed this activity to a western disturbance causing a cyclonic circulation over South Haryana. This disturbance is predicted to intensify over central Pakistan and parts of Punjab and Haryana, leading to more rain in the coming days, according to Mahesh Palawat, a noted weather analyst.

The IMD has issued a ‘yellow alert’ for light rainfall, potential thunderstorms, and gusty winds in the city. Meanwhile, the Air Quality Index remains ‘moderate’, with a reading of 153. Temperatures are expected to rise after the weather system subsides.
