The Delhi Economic Survey 2025-26 has unveiled a notable increase in funding allocations for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, spotlighting the importance of coordination among agencies to make the most of these funds.
The survey, tabled in the Assembly by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, emphasizes that despite the financial boost, efficient use of resources remains key to achieving cleaner streets, better educational institutions, and improved public health services.
With overall devolutions to local bodies rising to Rs 6,897.01 crore and significant sector-wise increments, the survey underlines increased support for urban development, education, and health crucial to supporting Delhi’s nearly complete urbanization and strained civic infrastructure.
