Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made headlines on Sunday by launching a groundbreaking project—a Rs 542-crore underground tunnel to connect the Bihar Museum with the Patna Museum. The ceremonial button press initiated the significant venture aimed at elevating the cultural landscape of Patna.
The proposed subway, set near Hartali Mor on Nehru Path, promises to offer easy access for visitors between the two museums. This initiative, according to Kumar, is expected to significantly boost tourist inflow. Officials provided the CM with detailed briefings on the construction progress and completion timeline.
In line with the expected surge in visitor numbers, Kumar instructed the provision of additional parking and upgraded facilities. During his tour of the Bihar Museum, he reviewed new exhibits and discussed redevelopment plans for nearby residential accommodations, emphasizing swift progress.
