Singapore Airlines (SIA), the city state’s national carrier, has unveiled its new in-flight safety video. From early reports, it has been given two thumbs up from social media users.

With a run time of five minutes, 39 seconds, the video – SIA’s first new safety video in eight years – takes viewers on a journey through Singapore’s diverse communities, with cabin crew visiting landmarks such as the Esplanade, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa, Lau Pa Sat and Jurong Lake Gardens.

Blending real-life footage with watercolour effects, the video – produced in collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board – is scheduled to be rolled out at the end of October.

“What a love letter to Singapore. Love how it threads together our landmarks, communities, and creative spirit in one seamless journey,” reads one post on SIA’s Instagram account.

“Love the culturally relevant elements in the video! The end music note always gives me the feels!” a user posted on SIA’s Facebook page.

The video starts with lush scenes from Gardens by the Bay, a sprawling urban park boasting a “Supertree” grove, a climate-controlled flower dome and the Cloud Forest conservatory.
