Air India boosts UK connectivity with a 4th daily flight on Delhi-London, adding 1,196 seats weekly. Utilises A350-900 & B787-9 aircraft, offering premium cabins & amenities. Largest India-UK carrier.

Air India has announced an expansion of its services to the United Kingdom as part of its Northern Winter 2025 schedule, adding a fourth daily flight between Delhi and London (Heathrow) starting 26 October 2025. With this addition, Air India will operate 28 weekly flights between Delhi and London, up from 24 previously, adding 1,196 seats each way per week on this high-demand route. All flights on this route will be operated using Air India’s latest Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

With this expansion, Air India continues to be the largest carrier between India and the UK, offering a total of 61 weekly flights across routes connecting India and the UK. The airline deploys 18,066 seats per week in one direction, which translates to nearly 1.7 million seats annually. Air India connects five Indian cities, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Amritsar, to three destinations in the UK namely London (Heathrow), London (Gatwick), and Birmingham.

On the Delhi-London route, the new schedule will feature two daily flights on the Airbus A350-900 and two daily flights on the Boeing 787-9. Both aircraft types offer three cabin classes, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy ensuring passengers have access to Air India’s best widebody cabin products.

Air India’s enhanced services are designed to provide a world-class travel experience. This is reflected in the airline’s high Net Promoter Score (NPS), consistently close to 47 points every month, while the Business and Premium Economy cabins on the A350-900 score even higher, ranging between 50 and 60 points. Passengers traveling in First Class, Business Class, or eligible Maharaja Club members enjoy complimentary access to world-class lounges, including the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, Lufthansa Business Lounge, Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge, and United Club Lounge at London Heathrow.

In addition, all Delhi-London flights feature complimentary WiFi and an advanced inflight entertainment system offering over 3,000 hours of content, including a wide variety of Indian entertainment. Passengers can also enjoy hot meals with Indian and international cuisine, along with a selection of complimentary beverages. Business and Premium Economy passengers receive amenity kits, luxury bedding, and elegantly designed serviceware, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable journey.

Air India is also optimizing its other UK services as part of this winter schedule:

• Mumbai-London (Heathrow): Continues to operate double daily, 14 weekly flights.

• Bengaluru-London (Heathrow): Previously curtailed flights are now restored to full 7x weekly service.

• Ahmedabad-London (Gatwick): Flights that were temporarily moved to Heathrow will return to Gatwick, operating 3x weekly.

• Amritsar-London (Gatwick): Restored to operate 3x weekly.

• Delhi-Birmingham: Restored to operate 3x weekly.

• Amritsar-Birmingham: Continues to operate 3x weekly.

With this expansion, Air India is making it easier for passengers across India to travel to the UK, offering more seats, more flexibility, and a consistently high-quality travel experience.
