A novel initiative is taking root in the skies with the introduction of a 5-minute yoga protocol for air travelers. Launched at the Yoga Mahotsav 2026 by Union Health Minister Prataprao Jadhav, this wellness routine promises to tackle common travel woes like muscle stiffness and fatigue.

Developed by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, this protocol is tailored for frequent flyers and can be performed from the confines of a plane seat. It combines guided physical movements, breathing exercises, and meditation to ensure a rejuvenating experience, even during long flights.

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha emphasized the practical health benefits of integrating yoga into daily routines, even in constrained environments such as flights. The simple routine, needing no special equipment, is designed to enhance circulation, stress reduction, and overall well-being for travelers.
