Timea Porubszky of Simple Yoga organised and hosted the event for the second year running at The Fraser Centre, welcoming about 50 people with their yoga mats through the doors.

Attendees enjoyed a guided yoga session from Timea, followed by breathwork with Sherien Ahmed of Let Go Breath, a session from Paul Spears of Sound Bath Studio, meditation with Jill Alexander and a talk from Anna Boath.

The inaugural event was a success last year but proved even more popular this time, selling out quickly, which Timea was delighted with, highlighting a “growing demand for accessible and affordable wellbeing events in East Lothian”.

She gave thanks to all attendees and added: “It was such an amazing afternoon filled with connection, calm and positive energy.

“I’m already looking forward to next year’s festival.”

Timea aims to make holistic practices easier to access for people in their local community and giving the opportunity to try different forms of therapy.

With her business Simple Yoga, she offers sessions for a wide rage of skill levels throughout the county.

Timea said: “It’s been especially rewarding to see such strong interest in holistic therapies.

“More and more people seem to be taking personal responsibility for their health, rather than relying solely on the healthcare system.

“Events like this are a great way to demonstrate the value of what we do, and to support people in becoming healthier and calmer in their daily lives.”
