January can feel heavy for many people, which is why mental health is the focus of this month’s Wellness Weekly features. Stacey Wempe of Support You Life Coaching and Consulting, a certified Fearless Living life coach and author of “A Million Times We Cry,” joined Daniel Espelien on Country 106.1 to talk about why taking care of yourself matters, breaking the stigma and practical ways to cope with seasonal challenges.

Listen to the full interview below.

In this conversation, Wempe shares insights on:

  • Why mental health is so important during the winter months
  • How breaking the stigma can change lives
  • Simple ways to practise self-compassion every day

Wempe also has a free workshop coming up, designed to give participants practical tools for managing life’s challenges. The session will start at 7 p.m., with the location determined by the number of attendees. Anyone interested can register by emailing info@supportu.ca. The workshop is intended as an informal, supportive space where people can connect and learn strategies to strengthen their mental health.

Wempe also has a book titled A Million Times We Cry, published last year. While it’s available on Amazon, she offers free copies to anyone who reaches out via email. Each copy includes a journal and pen to encourage reflection and personal growth. Books can be picked up locally or delivered upon request.
