Health Update: Health Update: ‘Spread the Love Day’ provides essential items, services as part of Pretty and Prepared’s wellness initiative – What Experts Say– What Experts Say.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A special event happens Wednesday to make sure college women have access to hygiene products they need while they’re away from home. In honor of Valentine’s Day, it’s called “Spread the Love Day.”

The event is organized by an initiative called “Pretty and Prepared” — a wellness initiative founded by Isys Scott in May 2025, committed to empowering college women through equitable access to essential hygiene products, the promotion of holistic health, and the encouragement of open, informed dialogue around mental wellness.

The initiative is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive community in which women feel recognized, supported, and equipped to thrive physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Pretty and Prepared’s core values

  • Accessibility: All young women should have access to the hygiene and wellness resources they need to live with dignity and confidence.
  • Empowerment: Uplift and support college women by giving them tools, resources, and spaces that promote self-care and self-worth.
  • Community: Foster connection and belonging through open dialogue, peer support, and inclusive programming that centers the voices of women.
  • Wellness: Advocate for a holistic view of health embracing physical, emotional, and mental well-being as interconnected and equally important.
  • Equity: Recognize the unique challenges that many students face and are committed to addressing disparities through thoughtful, inclusive outreach.
