All Carolina employees are invited to attend the Total WellBeing Expo on March 18 in Fetzer Hall. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., employees can enjoy free lunch, try a new workout or meditation session, explore 80 well-being resources and connect with fellow Tar Heels.
Multiple activities require employee registration, open through March 11 at 11:59 p.m. Activities and offerings include:
- Pizza, salad and a variety of Alani energy drink and Poppi prebiotic soda samples in the TIAA & Pepsi Fun & Food Zone
- A large wellness resource fair with medicine drop and opportunity for State Health Plan members to get a free wellness check in just 15 minutes*
- Time to relax with therapy dogs
- Three cooking demos with free samples
- Fitness and meditation sessions like tai chi, strike boxing, a mini-sound bath and loving-kindness meditation
- Photo ops with Rameses Jr.
- A performance by the Bouncing Bulldogs, Durham’s award-winning jump rope team
In addition to the in-person event on March 18, virtual wellness sessions will be available the entire week, starting March 16. Virtual events will include sessions on women’s health, meditation, self-care, long-term financial wellness and more.

*State Health Plan members can sign up for a free wellness check from 9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on March 18 using the registration key EXPO2026 and your State Health Plan Subscriber ID. Appointments are encouraged but not required.
Promoting employee well-being is a key priority for Carolina. Expo events are free, and attendance is considered work time for staff, who should seek approval as needed to attend. Free parking is available in the Cobb Deck on Paul Green Drive and bus routes U and RU will be running the day of the expo.
