Health Update: Health Update: Orah Nutrichem’s ‘HER Leave’ Policy Champions Menstrual Wellness in the Workplace – What Experts Say– What Experts Say.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day,Orah Nutrichem Pvt. Ltd. drew attention to its HER Leave — Health, Energy & Rejuvenation Leave, a menstrual wellness initiative introduced in 2023 to support women employees during their menstrual cycle.
The organisation recently highlighted the initiative as part of its broader commitment to women’s wellbeing and inclusive workplace practices around International Women’s Day.
The policy, conceptualised under the leadership of Director Kavita Dubepatil and Founder Roheit Dubepatil, reflects the organisation’s effort to build a workplace culture grounded in empathy, inclusivity and employee wellbeing.
In many professional environments, menstrual health has historically remained an under-discussed subject. Recognising this gap, Orah Nutrichem introduced HER Leave as a dedicated once-a-month leave provision that allows women employees to take time off during menstruation without salary deduction or hesitation.
The initiative acknowledges the physical and emotional challenges that many women experience during their menstrual cycle and encourages employees to prioritise their health without stigma.
Leadership Perspective
Director Kavita Dubepatil noted that meaningful empowerment begins with recognising women’s real experiences at work.
“Women play an integral role in every organisation, and it is equally important that workplaces acknowledge their health needs with sensitivity and respect. HER Leave reflects our belief that a supportive environment helps women perform with confidence and dignity,” she said.
Founder Roheit Dubepatil emphasised that organisations must go beyond traditional HR practices and build people-centric policies.
“True progress happens when organisations translate values into everyday practices. When employees feel respected and supported, it naturally strengthens trust, engagement and productivity across the organisation,” he added.
