Mark your calendars now for the Annual Health and Wellness Fair hosted by the City of Texarkana, Texas, and the Bowie County Family Health Clinic on Thursday, May 7, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Southwest Center.

The free community event will give everyone the chance to take part in wellness screenings such as blood pressure and glucose checks, along with learning about a variety of health services available in our area. A blood donation drive will also be held for those interested in giving back and helping others in need.

Connecting the Community With Health Resources in Texarkana

Health Department Manager Kelly Brush said the annual event helps connect residents with healthcare providers, local organizations, and preventative services that support overall community well-being.

Brush said in a press release,

This event brings together a wide range of resources in one place, making it easier for residents to learn about services that support healthier lives. We look forward to welcoming families and helping residents learn more about the services available to support their health and wellness.

The family-friendly event is designed to bring together local and regional vendors who can provide information, resources, and services that help promote healthier lifestyles.

Vendors Are Invited to Participate in Texarkana’s Annual Health and Wellness Fair

Local and regional vendors are encouraged to reserve a booth for the event. Instead of a booth fee, vendors are asked to donate a door prize that will be raffled off to attendees throughout the day.

Vendor registration must be completed by April 30. Businesses interested in participating can sign up through the City of Texarkana Texas website.
