Health Update: Lee recognized with MIIA Risk Management and Health & Wellness awards – What Experts Say

Lee — The Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association (MIIA) presented the town with two fiscal year 2025 (FY25) awards in recognition of its strong, integrated approach to employee safety, risk management, and workplace wellness. The awards were presented during Connect 351 at MIIA’s Annual Business Meeting held in Boston on January 24, 2026.

For its FY25 Risk Management Award, MIIA recognized Lee for maintaining a robust, cross-departmental safety culture that spans town, school, and county operations. The town’s safety committee prioritizes regular training and coordinated planning, while the Department of Public Works emphasizes preventative maintenance and seasonal preparedness. Lee also continues to lead in technology implementation across municipal systems, supporting both operational resilience and employee safety.

The FY2025 Health & Wellness Award honors Lee’s wellness committee, which brings together representatives from the town and school to design and implement wellness initiatives informed by employee feedback. The committee encourages broad participation by promoting available programs and creating opportunities for employees to engage during the workday, supporting a healthier and more connected workforce.

“Lee demonstrates how safety, risk management, and wellness work best when they are approached together,” said MIIA Executive Vice President Stanley Corcoran. “Through strong leadership, collaboration, and employee engagement, the town has built programs that protect employees, strengthen morale, and support effective public service.”
