Health Update: Health Update: Laredo Chamber of Commerce to host free health and wellness conference – What Experts Say– What Experts Say.
LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – The Laredo Chamber of Commerce is starting the new year with a focus on health, wellness, and positive changes.
The Chamber’s Health Services Committee will host “A New Year: A Fresh Start for Your Health and Well-Being” later this month. The free conference will bring together local experts to discuss both physical and mental health.
The panel features two family physicians, both accredited in weight loss management, a personal trainer, and a dietician. They will share advice on preventive care, weight management, healthy diets and functional fitness.
The goal is to help the community make healthier choices in 2026.
“We hope that the guests walk away with motivation and ideas to take care of themselves and their families and how to stay healthy longer so that we can continue to thrive in this community,” Laredo Chamber of Commerce Health Care Committee Co-Chair Julie Bazan said. “I know many of us have goals for different things, but the only way that we can accomplish those goals is if we stay healthy, so come, get motivated, get information and then go back and share is with your family.”
The event is free and open to the public. It takes place Wednesday, January 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Barn Reception Hall.
