Kurichiyil Ayurveda invests ₹250 crore in Kerala to develop AI-enabled Ayurtech wellness facilities and global preventive healthcare services.
Kochi: Kurichiyil Ayurveda has unveiled a ₹250 crore phased investment plan aimed at establishing Kerala as a global hub for integrated preventive healthcare and high-value wellness tourism. The project, branded as a first-of-its-kind “Ayurtech” initiative, combines Kerala’s authentic Ayurvedic heritage with AI-driven health monitoring to deliver advanced disease prediction and preventive care. The first phase is already underway in Karimban, Idukki.
Three-phase investment for wellness and innovation
The ₹250 crore investment is structured across three strategic phases, encompassing an AI-integrated Ayurtech and wellness destination, “Work-from-Nature” residential facilities and a dedicated medicine manufacturing unit
The initiative is expected to generate 500 new jobs across the healthcare, technology, hospitality and construction sectors, significantly boosting the local economy.
AI-enabled preventive healthcare
“Our approach goes beyond symptomatic care to redefine recovery,” said Dr Jithin J Kurichiyil, Director of Kurichiyil Ayurveda. “By combining AI-driven early risk detection with authentic Ayurveda, we target the root cause of chronic pain and lifestyle disorders. Through real-time monitoring and proactive interventions, preventive healthcare becomes a lifelong reality.”
Visitors to the facility will benefit from a 24/7 wearable health tracking system. Leveraging AI technology, the system analyses over 1.3 million patterns linked to 15,000–20,000 medical conditions, providing personalised health guidance in real time.
Promoting wellness tourism and local economy
Kurichiyil Ayurveda’s vision is to create a globally competitive wellness destination that not only advances healthcare innovation but also supports local agriculture and tourism. The project is seen as a model for integrating technology with traditional wellness practices, setting new benchmarks for AI-enabled Ayurvedic healthcare in India.
The press conference in Kochi was attended by Dr Jithin J. Kurichiyil and Dr Ammu Mathew, Directors, along with Shaji E K, VP Operations, and Sreenath Thulasidharan, VP Marketing and Sales from Kurichiyil Ayurveda.
