Health Update: Health Update: Jayasom outlines plans for flagship wellness resort at AMAALA – What Experts Say– What Experts Say.
Jayasom has scheduled the launch of its inaugural flagship property at AMAALA for 2026. Jayasom Wellness Resort, AMAALA will form part of the destination’s Triple Bay development and marks the brand’s first entry into the Kingdom.

Karen Campbell, CEO of Jayasom, said the brand was founded on the belief that wellness is a practice grounded in presence, learning and stillness. At AMAALA, she noted, the focus will be on providing space and support for guests to restore balance and reconnect with both modern and traditional sources of wellbeing, with the aim of enabling habits that extend beyond the stay.
As an integrated wellbeing destination, the resort combines evidence-based medicine, holistic healing traditions and mindful living practices. The brand name reflects its positioning as a setting designed to support connection to self, environment and destination.
At AMAALA, Jayasom aims to deliver a wellness model that supports sustainable wellbeing across different life stages and cultural contexts.
Integrated wellness programmes and facilities

Jayasom Wellness Resort, AMAALA will offer multidisciplinary wellness journeys that combine Western medical practices with holistic approaches rooted in Arabic traditions. These programmes are designed to deliver measurable and sustainable outcomes within a structured hospitality environment.
Core focus areas include detox and nutrition, mindfulness and emotional wellbeing, women’s health and hormone balance, fitness and movement, immune resilience, integrative sleep recovery, men’s longevity and vitality, as well as stress recovery and mental clarity.
The resort is being developed as both an adults-focused wellness retreat and a family wellness destination, with dedicated zones for adults, infants, toddlers, tweens and teenagers. Located within the natural setting of Triple Bay, the development is designed to support individual well-being journeys alongside shared, intergenerational experiences.

Facilities will span more than 7,000 square metres and include spaces dedicated to health, physiotherapy, fitness, mindfulness, nutrition, spa treatments and aesthetic medicine. Minimally invasive aesthetic treatments supported by U.S. FDA-approved technologies will be incorporated. Two distinct areas within the resort will separate adult-focused retreat experiences from family-oriented facilities.
Programmes will be delivered by medically certified specialists, holistic practitioners, therapists and movement experts. Planned retreat formats include couples’ reconnection, women-only retreats, leadership programmes, equine-assisted experiences, marine activities, physical performance, detox and sound-based healing.
Cultural integration and environmental responsibility

A key element of the resort’s offering will be the integration of TAIM, or Traditional Arab and Islamic Medicine. These programmes draw on regional approaches that emphasise balance, prevention and alignment across physical, mental and spiritual health. Protocols incorporate herbal practices, nutritional principles and emotional wellbeing, adapted for contemporary wellness travellers and positioned as complementary to the resort’s broader medical and holistic services.
Environmental responsibility and community engagement form part of Jayasom’s operating approach. Guided by a focus on minimising resource impact, the resort will include a signature organic farm as part of its nutrition and wellness ecosystem. The farm will supply organic produce, serve as a learning space for adults and children, support biodiversity and sustainable agriculture, and include an early-phase nursery contributing to the wider resort landscape.
This integration of agriculture, education and environmental stewardship reflects Jayasom’s broader view of wellbeing as encompassing physical health, mental balance, social connection and environmental responsibility. The design and guest experience philosophy at AMAALA is informed by engagement with local communities and regional wellness traditions, combining local cultural context with an international hospitality framework.
As the brand’s flagship property, Jayasom, AMAALA represents the next phase of the company’s growth strategy, positioning wellness as an integrated way of living aligned with AMAALA’s long-term focus on wellbeing, culture and environmental responsibility.
