Health Update: Health Update: Eskayvie targets regional growth as global wellness market expands – What Experts Say– What Experts Say.

KUALA LUMPUR: The global wellness industry, including Malaysia, continues to experience strong post-pandemic expansion as consumers increasingly prioritise preventive healthcare, immunity support, and mental wellbeing.

Driven by this structural shift in consumer behaviour, the health and wellness sector has evolved into a multi-trillion-ringgit global economy, with demand accelerating across supplements, functional foods, skincare, and lifestyle-based preventive care solutions.

Riding this wave is Eskayvie, a homegrown halal-certified health and wellness brand, which is positioning itself for aggressive regional expansion to capture emerging opportunities across Southeast Asia.

Founder Dr Kartika Wati Mohamed said the company is strengthening its regional footprint to enhance competitiveness in an increasingly crowded and innovation-driven wellness landscape.

Eskayvie is targeting key Southeast Asian markets, including Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, and Brunei, all identified for their rising health awareness, expanding middle-class populations, and increasing demand for preventive wellness solutions.

“These markets have been strategically selected based on their strong growth potential in the health and wellness sector, increasing consumer awareness on preventive healthcare and the opportunity to build sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystems through Eskayvie Nexus,” she said in a statement.

Dr Kartika noted that Indonesia remains a priority market, given its large population base and strong alignment with Eskayvie’s product portfolio and business model.

In the short term, the company is targeting sustained double-digit annual growth while reinforcing its leadership in Malaysia and accelerating expansion in selected regional markets.

Over the medium term, Eskayvie aims to scale towards a multi-hundred-million-ringgit revenue milestone, supported by a more diversified regional presence and deeper market penetration.

“Ultimately our goal is not just rapid expansion, but sustainable and profitable growth by balancing revenue acceleration with strong cost discipline, ecosystem strength and long-term brand value,” she said.

Eskayvie’s growth strategy is anchored on product innovation, distribution expansion, and the integration of data, technology, and operational excellence to enhance efficiency and consumer engagement.

Originally focused on supplements, Eskayvie has broadened its portfolio to include skincare and functional health products, targeting both beauty-conscious and health-focused consumer segments.
