Lagos witnessed the groundbreaking debut of a new kind of wellness experience at the Eden Wellness Festival, bringing together fitness, lifestyle, and community in a format designed to promote holistic well-being through movement, restoration, and community engagement.

Held as a multi-zone experience, the festival provided attendees with an opportunity to explore wellness in an interactive and socially engaging format. Guests moved seamlessly through five uniquely curated spaces, each offering a distinct perspective on health and lifestyle.

The Power Garden energized participants with high-intensity sessions led by over ten of Nigeria’s top fitness and dance instructors. Activities ranged from HIIT workouts and boxing, to trampoline fitness and spinning, creating an atmosphere of excitement and physical challenge.

“The idea was to create a space where people could push their physical limits while still enjoying the process,” said Maje Ayida, founder of Eden Lifestyle and Eden Wellness. “We wanted fitness to feel accessible, exciting, and community-driven.”

In contrast, the Restore Garden offered a calming retreat and quickly became one of the most visited zones. Featuring yoga, Pilates, and breathwork sessions, the space provided attendees with an opportunity to unwind and reconnect in a serene environment.

The Market Garden showcased a curated selection of over thirteen vendors offering wellness products, nourishing food options, and lifestyle items, creating a relaxed space for discovery and connection.

“We wanted to support and spotlight brands that are contributing to the wellness ecosystem in Nigeria,” he added. “It was important for us to create a space where people could discover products that align with healthier living.”

Adding a critical dimension to the experience, the Care Garden focused on health and recovery. Guests benefited from on-site health checks conducted by certified medical professionals, alongside massage treatments designed to promote rest and rejuvenation.

Meanwhile, the Play Garden infused a social and interactive element into the festival, featuring padel clinics and volleyball sessions that remained active even after the main event concluded.

Guests also received thoughtfully curated souvenir packages, extending the experience beyond the day.
At its core, the Eden Wellness Festival is built on a simple philosophy. “When we leverage the body, we gain access to the mind,” Ayida stated. “This festival was created to show that wellness is not just a personal journey, it’s something we can experience collectively.”

By bringing multiple communities into one shared space, the Eden Wellness Festival redefined wellness as both a personal and communal experience.

“The response has been incredibly encouraging,” he added. “It shows that there is a growing appetite in Lagos for wellness experiences that bring people together in meaningful ways,” Ayida concludes.
