FORT MYERS – Crisis Prevention & Empowerment (CPE) has received a $5,000 grant as The Community Foundation’s Health & Wellness Innovator Award-winning organization.
A nonprofit dedicated to providing free and affordable mental health support throughout Southwest Florida, CPE provides accessible, low- or no-cost mental health services to individuals across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties.
The Health & Wellness Innovator Award recognizes organizations that advance mental, physical or community health with creativity and measurable impact.
“We are grateful to The Community Foundation for honoring CPE and its widespread impact on health and human service, crisis intervention services, behavioral and social health services,” said Heather Cross, CEO of CPE. “With these funds, we will be able to further serve those in need of mental and behavioral health services across Southwest Florida.”
Since 2017, CPE has been committed to providing the Southwest Florida community with a safe and reliable place for anyone in need of mental health support, including children, teens, adults, seniors, veterans and families, and has served thousands of individuals in the region. CPE offers outpatient counseling, round-the-clock crisis intervention and wrap-around services with no limitations on age, background or income. CPE collaborates with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice to provide mental health and substance abuse support for adolescents and teens in Southwest Florida.
The Community Foundation supports nonprofits in Southwest Florida regardless of size or budget. The foundation’s grants aim to amplify impact, spark innovation and reward visionary changemakers in the community.
