Health Update: Health Update: Black Family Wellness Expo brings people together for day of health education – What Experts Say– What Experts Say.
ROSELAWN, Ohio (WKRC) — The Black Family Wellness Expo returned to Roselawn Saturday.
The annual initiative at New Prospect Baptist Church brings people together for a day of health education and wellness. The expo featured workshops, a community blood drive and family-centered programs to help people of all ages improve their health.
Organizers say it may be especially helpful for lower-income families.
“There are issues when it comes to blood donation, when it comes to organ donation, as well as kidney disease. And today is an opportunity for us to create some education, create some movement, and some fun to make sure the community knows how to get healthier,” said Patrice Baughman-Borders, Cincinnati chapter president of The Links Incorporated.

This was the wellness expo’s fourth year. It’s part of a nationwide push to get more people to donate blood and sign up for organ donation.
