Badarpur, Mar 8: In observance of InternationalWomensDay 2026, the AssamRifles under SpearCorps organized Women’s Health and Wellness Lecture-cum-Medical Camps at multiple locations across the Northeast, including Badarpur FPC in Karimganj (#Assam), Radhanagar (#Tripura), and Hiangtam Lamka in Churachandpur (#Manipur).

The initiative aimed to promote health awareness, preventive care, and well-being among women in remote and underserved areas. The camps provided participants with access to free medical check-ups, consultations with healthcare professionals, and advice on nutrition, hygiene, and lifestyle management.
During the events, health experts conducted interactive lectures on key topics such as reproductive health, cardiovascular wellness, diabetes prevention, and mental health. The sessions emphasized the importance of regular medical screening, balanced diet, and physical fitness to empower women to take charge of their own health.
Women attending the camps received free medicines, diagnostic services, and educational materials to encourage long-term health management. The initiative also highlighted government schemes and local healthcare resources available to women in these regions.
Officials from Assam Rifles said that such programs reflect the force’s commitment to community welfare and the empowerment of women. They emphasized that providing healthcare access and raising awareness about wellness contributes not only to individual well-being but also to stronger, healthier communities.
The events were widely appreciated by local women, who expressed gratitude for the medical support, guidance, and awareness provided through the Assam Rifles’ outreach efforts. The initiative is part of ongoing measures under #OperationSadbhavana to promote social development, gender empowerment, and community engagement in the region.
