Zendaya wore a bold sheer gown that matched the bridal theme of her latest film, The Drama, starring Robert Pattinson. She went to the NYC premiere of the romantic dark comedy

Zendaya rocked a daring look at The Drama NYC premiere after-party.

The 29-year-old actress was photographed heading to her latest film’s after-party following the NYC premiere on Thursday, April 2. Zendaya was dressed in her “something blue” in a midnight blue gown from the Di Petsa Fall 2026 collection. The dress comprised a sheer, halter-style bodice that featured tubular fringe that created a wavy detail across the front.

There were certain tubular pieces that dangled on the side and back of the gown. Zendaya kept the same slicked-back hairstyle and silver sapphire jewelry from Tiffany & Co. (earrings and rings) from her premiere look. Her ring finger was missing the golden band she has been wearing publicly at a few events, which has fueled the wedding rumors.

Zendaya completed the look with matching pointy heels and blue eyeshadow with a smidge of silver.

At the premiere, Zendaya also incorporated the “something blue” theme as she wore a strapless black and blue feathered ball gown from Schiaparelli Spring Summer 2026 Haute Couture.

The dress was made with 65,000 kingfisher blue and black raw silk feathers in satin stitch embroidery in 27 different shades of blue, according to the luxury brand’s website.

Throughout The Drama press tour, Zendaya and her stylist Law Roach have been doing outfits based on the classic wedding rhyme that originated in the English Victorian era: “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.”

For “something old,” the Emmy-winner revived her white Vivienne Westwood gown that she wore at the Oscars when she was 18. She wore that dress at the Los Angeles premiere.

At the Paris premiere, Zendaya did “something new” and donned a custom Louis Vuitton backless white gown that had a large black bow train.

For her “something borrowed” at the Rome premiere, the Replay singer wore Cate Blanchett’s black Armani Privé that has a deep neckline embellished with gems.

Law, the self-described “image architect,” thanked the Oscar winner on social media and shared that the dress is from Cate’s personal archive, which she lent them. Cate wore the gown to the 2022 SAG-AFTRA Awards and again at the 2025 Venice Film Festival.

The Drama released in theaters on Friday, April 3. The romantic black comedy-drama is written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli. The Drama follows an engaged couple, whose relationship comes apart just days before their wedding after the reveal of a dark secret.

The film stars Zendaya, Rob Pattinson, Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim, Hailey Gates, Sydney Lemmon, Zoë Winters, Anna Baryshnikov, and Michael Abbott Jr.

The Drama is currently playing in theaters.
