The red carpet has officially been rolled out at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood for the 98th Academy Awards, kicking off the final stretch of Oscar pre-parties and events as Hollywood gears up for Sunday, March 15.
Friday night set the stage for Hollywood’s biggest weekend with a slew of high-profile celebrations, including the Women in Film pre-Oscar event. Over at the Living Room, CAA threw a massive party to honor its nominated clients, boasting a guest list of heavyweights like Paul Thomas Anderson, Brad Pitt, Chloé Zhao, and Steven Spielberg. The packed room also saw the likes of Yorgos Lanthimos, Sam Mendes, Kate Hudson, Stellan Skarsgård, Jessie Buckley, Rose Byrne, Ethan Hawke, Sean Penn, Renate Reinsve, Jerry Bruckheimer, Inga Ibsotter Lilleas, Natalie Portman, and Eskil Vogt.

Across town in West Hollywood, WME raised a glass to its Oscar-nominated talent at the Chateau Marmont. The exclusive gathering brought together stars and creators, including Teyana Taylor, Michael B. Jordan, Ryan Coogler, Josh Safdie, Ruth E. Carter, Wagner Moura, Audrey Nuna, and Ejae.
Oscar week kicked off on Wednesday with Diane von Furstenberg’s annual Nominee Luncheon, celebrating women in film, followed by Vanity Fair’s “Night For Young Hollywood” at Bar Marmont. The festivities continued the next day with a star-studded crowd at ESSENCE’s 19th Annual Black Women in Hollywood Awards, an intimate W Magazine and Dior dinner at Mr Chow, and MACRO’s 8th Annual Pre-Oscars Party at the Audrey Irmas Pavillion.
Chef Wolfgang Puck and Wolfgang Puck Catering return, for its 32nd year, to create the menu for this year’s Governor’s Ball, where nominees, winners, and guests will be treated to a variety of tray-passed dishes, including a theatrical Oscar Gold Spraying Station where guests can enjoy dark, milk, matcha, and blond Dulcey chocolate pops. For a more decadent dessert, the “Oscars Special” offers a 50 bean vanilla gelato adorned with real gold leaves. Savory highlights include a classic, elegant Salmon en Croute featured at the Wagyu and steak frites carving station, and Mini Wagyu Cheeseburgers

Elton John’s 34th annual Academy Awards Viewing Party, benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation, returns on Sunday, March 15th. He’ll be joined by a star-studded lineup including Patricia Arquette, Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris, Brandi Carlile and Catherine Shepherd, Tiffany Haddish, Christina Hendricks, Tove Lo, Melanie Lynskey and Jason Ritter, Eric McCormack, Keke Palmer, Orville Peck, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Sharon Stone, and Donatella Versace, and a performance by Lola Young.
