JoJo Siwa’s head is spinning like a boomerang.

The Dance Moms alum recently had some fun while highlighting how much her personality has changed over her career.

In JoJo’s new music video for her song “I’m Still Dancin’,” she appears as six different versions of herself, each representing a specific time from her life.

For her bad girl era that she introduced with her 2024 song “Karma,” the 22-year-old sported black facepaint, a black bedazzled body suit and gems in her hair. Meanwhile, she also portrayed herself as “Joelle,” a polished and reserved JoJo who donned a blush pink skirt and sweater without any rhinestones, meant to represent her current, more mature self.

In a March 16 TikTok video, the “Boomerang” singer (full name Joelle Joanie Siwa) plays on the dichotomy of the two and has them lipsynching to a clip of Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian in an argument.

“You could tell me these are 2 different people,” JoJo captioned the clip, “and I would believe you.”

Aside from joking about how different her past is from her present, JoJo—who started dating Chris Hughes in April—has recently detailed all the ways in which she has grown up since appearing on Dance Moms a decade ago.

“I’ve gotten more comfortable with the idea of Joelle,” she told E! News’ The Rundown last month. “My boyfriend calls me Joelle. My family doesn’t call me Joelle. My friends call me JoJo, but Jenna Johnson from Dancing With the Stars calls me Joelle. So it’s kind of been a mix in my life.”

However, JoJo added, “I feel like Joelle more so now than ever.”

As for who this new version of herself truly is?

“I’m still meeting her myself,” JoJo continued. “I think Joelle is the happy version of JoJo, and I feel like JoJo is the crazy version of Joelle.”

Of course, JoJo isn’t the only star who has adopted a new name throughout their career. Read on to see other celebrities who use stage names.

But years after his dad died from a heart attack, the This Is Us alum decided to revert back to his first name as a way to honor his father.

“Because he passed away when I was 10, by the time I turned 16 and I hadn’t heard his name for five, five-and-a-half years,” he continued. “I was like, ‘I kinda just want to hear that name again.’ So I asked people to call me Sterling.”

In her 2024 memoir, Cher: The Memoir, Part One, the pop icon recalled her mom Georgia Holt‘s reaction to this discovery.

She said her mother, who gave birth to her at age 19, responded, “Let me look at that!” and then, recalling her postpartum experience, added, “I was only a teenager, and I was in a lot of pain. Give me a break.”
