New details are emerging about Ivanna Ortiz, the woman accused of firing shots at Rihanna’s Los Angeles mansion.
Authorities say the 35-year-old suspect was arrested after allegedly shooting at the singer’s Beverly Hills property on Sunday while Rihanna was inside the home.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
Ortiz has since been booked on suspicion of attempted murder.
Since her arrest, several old videos and posts believed to be from Ortiz have resurfaced online. In some of the video clips, she can be seen speaking about the singer and making a series of bizarre claims.
In one video circulating on social media, Ortiz calls Rihanna a “witch” while speaking into the camera. She also claimed that Rihanna is jealous and that she has always tried to steal from her.
“Rihanna, when you die, God is taking me to my future,” she said in the clip before continuing with a rambling statement.
Other posts shared on her social media accounts also reference the singer directly.
In one Facebook post, she tagged the Barbadian singer’s account and wrote: “@badgalriri, are you there? Cause I was waiting for your AIDS 5-head self to say something to me directly instead of sneaking around.”
Some of Ortiz’s posts also mentioned other celebrities. In another clip, she addresses rapper Cardi B, saying: “You can’t f**k with me, Cardi B.”
Her social media activity has drawn attention online, with many users pointing out what appears to be a pattern of erratic behaviour and repeated mentions of celebrities.
According to reports, Ortiz is originally from Orlando, Florida. She previously worked as a speech language pathologist and has also shared religious content online through a YouTube series titled “Praying Woman’s Journal”, where she documented a personal prayer challenge.
Older posts also suggest that she once took part in beauty pageants, referring to herself as “Miss Teen Illinois Latina Princess 2006” in one picture that she shared online.
Authorities have not confirmed whether Ortiz’s online activity is directly connected to the alleged shooting.
However, the resurfaced posts have sparked widespread discussion online as investigators continue to look into the incident.
According to reports, Rihanna, who has three children with rapper A$AP Rocky, was at home with them when the shooting occurred.
Reports by “TMZ” suggest the singer has since left Los Angeles following the shooting at her home. The publication shared pictures of the singer arriving at Van Nuys Airport on Monday afternoon, where she was seen boarding a private jet shortly after the incident.
The decision appears to be a precaution as authorities continue investigating the case.
Ortiz remains behind bars and is facing an attempted murder charge, with bail reportedly set at $10,225,000 (roughly R166 million).
