Rising Hollywood star Chase Infiniti will make an appearance at this year’s Oscars, but what is worth knowing about her life off-screen?

Emerging talent Chase Infiniti has rapidly become one of Hollywood’s most discussed names following just two major film roles.

Her distinctive moniker and outstanding lead performance in One Battle After Another opposite industry heavyweight Leonardo DiCaprio have certainly contributed to the buzz surrounding her.

Whilst Leo and fellow cast members secured nominations at this year’s Oscars, Chase wasn’t amongst those recognised.

Nevertheless, she’s been confirmed as a presenter during tonight’s ceremony, broadcasting on ITV1 at 10.15pm (Sunday, March 15).

The 25-year-old actress was christened Chase Infiniti Payne in Indiana, America. Her unusual name draws inspiration from iconic films Batman Forever and Toy Story.

Speaking to the Today Show, she revealed that her parents “had watched Batman Forever and they were obsessed with Nicole Kidman as Chase Meridian”. The couple made the decision to call their baby Chase, regardless of gender.

During their quest for a middle name, they settled on Buzz Lightyear’s memorable motto from the Toy Story franchise: “To infinity and beyond!”.

Reflecting on what seems like her parents’ prophetic choice, Chase told the Today Show: “It’s really crazy. I’m like ‘How did [they] predict that!'”.

Chase’s parents are not film stars. Nevertheless, new admirers may find themselves puzzled by online speculation suggesting she is the daughter of Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn.
