America’s Next Top Model star Shandi Sullivan appeared on Cycle 2 and hoped the show would launch her modeling career, but she’s living a completely different life over 20 years on
Former America’s Next Top Model contestant Shandi Sullivan has taken a dramatically different path more than two decades after her appearance on the reality series.
Before launching her modeling journey on ANTM’s second season, the reality star had been employed at retail chain Walgreens.
The beloved program showcased aspiring models competing for the coveted ‘Top Model’ crown and an extraordinary chance to break into the fashion world.
Led by supermodel Tyra Banks and her judging panel, ANTM rapidly became essential viewing for reality television enthusiasts.
But the program has faced criticism in recent years, with audiences expressing concerns that participants weren’t always handled appropriately, reports the Mirror.
Netflix is now delving into the untold stories behind the popular series through a new three-part documentary, Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model, available for streaming now.
Shandi features among the former participants appearing in the documentary, but what has become of her life since the reality show?
Where is Shandi Sullivan now?
The audience favorite secured third place on the show, behind runner-up Mercedes Scelba-Shorte and champion Yoanna House.
Similar to her fellow competitors, Shandi anticipated the program would launch her modeling profession, but reality proved different.
“After Top Model, we thought one of us was going to be with a top modelling agency, and that was going to be our new career,” she revealed in the documentary. “[But] no. [I was] still working at Walgreens.”
As of 2026, the former reality television personality co-hosts a horror movie podcast titled Urn Fulla Popcorn, together with comedian Timmy Williams.
Additionally, she runs a Brooklyn-based jewelry company, Dream Meow Corner, offering products ranging from pet portraits and earrings to candle holders.
Whether the store remains operational is uncertain, though Shandi featured it on her personal Instagram account in December 2023.
Similar to fellow ANTM alum Adrianne Curry, Shandi has moved away from modeling. Nevertheless, she candidly discusses her time on the program in the new Netflix documentary.
The Kansas native confronts the ‘cheating scandal’ that surrounded her during her season, and provides insight into precisely what was occurring behind the scenes during that period.
