Grammy Award-winning global superstar Doja Cat thrilled Rwanda audiences, and now she is set to perform in her homeland for the first time.

Regarded as the “Queen of Pop-Rap”, Doja Cat is known for her versatility, live performing skills, internet personality, and stage presence.

“From my South African roots straight to the world stage, we’re bringing energy, purpose, and real change to Move Afrika in Kigali and Pretoria. This isn’t just a tour, it’s a movement that creates jobs and opportunities that last,” said Doja Cat.

“I’m proud to be part of something that celebrates Africa’s creativity, invests in its future, and shows the world that Africa isn’t coming, it’s already here.”

Doja Cat is the headline act for the third edition of Global Citizen’s Move Afrika, with concerts taking place in Kigali, Rwanda, and Pretoria, South Africa.

Move Afrika is a live music series aimed at creating jobs and economic opportunities across the continent.

This year’s instalment advances Move Afrika’s long-term mission to build the first pan-African music touring circuit that drives economic investment and creates opportunities for the next generation of young Africans to work in the continent’s creative economies in all its host cities.

Doja Cat donned her blue hair for her performance in Kigali, and now the countdown for her South African performance is on. This will be her first time performing and setting foot in South Africa, which is where her father, actor Dumisani Dlamini, is from.

Move Afrika: Pretoria takes place at the SunBet Arena on March 20 and is expected to start at 8.00pm. Tickets retail at R1195 per person via Ticketmaster.

As with any concert, it is advisable to arrive early to allow extra time to familiarise yourself with the venue, find your seat and get refreshments. Also, carry a fully charged power bank, as with all the videos you will take, battery levels are guaranteed to be low.
