Rapper Cardi Bi has taken an embarrassing tumble during a playful dance with a robot.

Video shared by celebrity site TMZ shows the 33-year-old singer spotting the silver robot as she left her hotel in San Francisco.

“Get away from my man,” the Grammy winner – who was wearing a black and yellow skin-tight jumpsuit and stilettos – tells the robot.

She then goes on to give it what looks like a lap dance, putting her hands on its shoulder and shimmying down low.

Butt as the 33-year-old dances, both she and the robot lose their balance and fall over, to shrieks from the watching crowd. She ends up lying on the footpath with the robot on top of her, as onlookers gasp in shock before rushing to help.

Cardi B is quickly on her feet, and heads back inside the hotel.

She was in San Francisco to cheer on partner Stefon Diggs and his New England Patriots in Sunday’s Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks. The couple have a one-year-old son together, although her divorce from fellow rapper Offset, with whom she has three children, is yet to be finalised.

The highly anticipated game was played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, with Cardi B reportedly enjoying the match from a VIP suite.

According to US media, she invited 100 people to watch the game and paid for 40 of them to join her in a suite, which costs $US125,000 ($A178,000).

Cardi also reportedly booked four private jets and spent $US100,000 for drinks to be served throughout the game.
