Vogue Williams has branded Brooklyn a ‘spoiled brat’ following his explosive statement.
Vogue Williams has given her verdict on the Beckham family rift after a “massive error” was spotted in Brooklyn’s statement earlier this week. The podcaster took a deep dive into the allegations made by the aspiring chef that have sent shockwaves across social media.
The model has branded the 26-year-old a “spoiled brat” following his claims, which included that his parents had “controlled” his family’s life and tried to “ruin” his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz. Vogue now says she is “team Beckham” as the drama continues to unfold.
One major claim in the statement was that Victoria “hijacked” the couple’s first dance at their wedding in 2022. Brooklyn claimed he has “never been more humiliated” in his life as Victoria allegedly danced “inappropriately” on him at the nuptials.
Since then, DJ Fat Tony, who played a set at the wedding, has revealed that the “uncomfortable” incident did happen, reports the Mirror. Opening up about the wedding, he described the situation as “really awkward for everyone in the room”.
However, in a new episode of her My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast, Vogue has shared why she has chosen to side with David and Victoria. She said: “There’s so many conflicting stories because the thing I told you about, DJ Fat Tony, he was the deejay at the wedding and his husband commented, ‘I was at the wedding and what Brooklyn said was true’, and then he quickly deleted it. It went everywhere.
“I’m just team Beckham and not just because I want to be part of their family. I think everyone just got so excited when they saw it because it was like, ‘Oh my God’.
“I don’t think he realised it would catch on as quickly as it did but everyone is looking for any kind of truth to it. But the only people who have this video are Brooklyn and Nicola.”
This led her co-star Joanne McNally to state she thinks she spotted a “massive error” from Brooklyn. The eldest Beckham son claimed his parents had tried to “bribe” him into signing the rights to his name away before the wedding.
However, Vogue has claimed that the Beckhams’ decision to trademark their name is to “protect” the family. Joanne then added: “Brooklyn really hasn’t thought this through, this is a massive mistake.”
The TV presenter then finished up the conversation by making a dig at Brooklyn. She said: “It’s just babyish b******. This is literally just, get an absolute grip and get a hold of yourself, it stinks of spoiled brat.”
Brooklyn also mentioned in the statement that his parents allegedly “controlled” the narratives of family members within the press. He explained: “The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.
“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade.”
While neither David or Victoria have openly acknowledged their son’s statement, David did speak out about his children’s use of social media. Speaking to CNBC’s Squawk Box, he said: “I’ve always spoke about social media and the power of social media for the good and for the bad.
“The bad we’ve talked about with what kids can access these days. It can be dangerous, but what I’ve found personally, especially with my kids as well, use it for the right reasons.
“I’ve been able to use my platform and my following for Unicef and it’s been the biggest tool to make people aware of what’s going on around the world for children. I’ve tried to do the same. I’ve tried to do the same with my children to educate them.
“They make mistakes. Children are allowed to make mistakes. That’s how they learn. So that’s what I try to teach my kids. But you know, you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well.”
