They might eat the same food, share the same campsite and tackle the same challenges, but the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! cast definitely aren’t paid the same. Each year, the reality show sees a bunch of stars enter the jungle with varying levels of fame and pay cheques to match, which often leak online.

The rumoured salaries for the I’m A Celeb 2026 contestants were recently revealed, and while they’re certainly impressive, they’re nowhere near the show’s highest-paid celebs. Channel 10 used to splash out hundreds of thousands (or millions) of dollars to land a major star, and now participants are basically eating goat anus and boar testicles for free in comparison.

So, without further ado, here are the highest-paid contestants on I’m A Celebrity who made an absolute killing in the jungle.

Shane Warne

Cricket icon Shane Warne revealed in his memoir No Spin that he was paid a whopping $2 million to appear on the show in 2016, which was the total budget for the previous year’s cast and the highest amount any contestant has ever received.

His contract also allowed him to continue smoking — as long as he was “about a hundred yards away from the camp” — and get his hair “redone” every three weeks.

It was definitely money well spent as the 2016 season achieved some of the highest ratings in the show’s history, and Warnie became one of the most memorable contestants.

Brendan “Fev” Fevola

Channel 10 was really just throwing out money in 2016, as Brendan “Fev” Fevola — who went on to win the season — was also paid quite a large appearance fee. The footballer-turned-radio host is one of the few contestants who has publicly shared details about the show’s salaries and explained that you get more money the longer you stay in the jungle.

“I got paid $250,000 upfront, and then $5,000 every show after the [first] two weeks,” he said on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick. “So you’d lay there on a Sunday and you’d think, ‘There’s another 7 days, there’s $35,000, boom. Hopefully, they don’t have an eviction during the week’.”

Unfortunately for his daughter, Mia, she is reportedly the lowest-paid contestant this season and earned between $40,000 and $60,000. Still, that’s pretty good for a few weeks’ work!

Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins

Former Bachelor star Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins was rumoured to be paid “around $250,000 to $300,000” to appear on the show in 2023.

“It’s a little less than the $500,000 that he was paid for The Bachelor, but this is a shorter production with less demands and rules,” an insider told Yahoo Lifestyle. “It’ll all be done in a few weeks, unlike The Bachelor, where he had to put his life on hold for six months.”

Cummins was ultimately the fifth person to exit the show, lasting 20 days in the jungle. Meanwhile, his co-star Kerri-Anne Kennerley was paid a rumoured salary of $180,000 for her controversial four-day stint in the jungle.

Who is the highest-paid contestant on I’m A Celebrity 2026?

This year’s highest-paid celeb is none other than US sitcom actor Barry Williams, best known for playing Greg Brady on The Brady Bunch, who Daily Mail reported was on a rumoured salary between $150,000 and $180,000.

He is closely followed by supermodel Rachel Hunter, who reportedly earned between $140,000 and $170,000, and Logie-winning actor Garry Sweet, who was allegedly paid between $110,000 and $140,000.

Meanwhile, the show’s host, Robert Irwin, is said to have been paid $3 million this season after his career absolutely skyrocketed on Dancing With The Stars last year, and you know what? He deserves it.
