Controversial actress Sydney Sweeney posed up a storm for the new issue of W Magazine in a raunchy shoot as she channeled an iconic moment from James Bond’s Goldfinger film

In a daring and provocative display, Sydney Sweeney bared it all, her body adorned with glistening gold paint.

The 28-year-old actress posed for the cover of W Magazine’s latest issue, seemingly drawing inspiration from Shirley Eaton’s iconic death scene in Goldfinger, a classic James Bond film. In the 1964 movie, Eaton’s character, Jill Masterson, tragically dies from skin suffocation after being painted gold.

One striking image from the W Magazine shoot captures Sweeney’s intense gaze as she strategically uses her hands to cover herself while kneeling on a luxurious velvet sofa. The actress fully embraced the monochromatic theme, sporting a glossy gold manicure that matched her radiant skin and a blonde bob styled in an elegant side part.

A second photo amps up the drama, featuring Sweeney lounging on the couch, highlighting an intricate choker necklace and her barely covered chest.

Alongside the bold photoshoot, the typically reserved Sweeney participated in a surprisingly open interview with the magazine, discussing her family, fame, and the progression of her career, reports the Irish Star.

The two-time Emmy nominee shared stories from her vibrant childhood, including a harrowing wakeboarding accident at age 10 that left her with a scar next to her eye. The incident involved the tip of her board slicing her face, necessitating 17 stitches.

She also remembered injuring a ligament in her knee during a dirt-bike adventure, creating a mark that ‘just never went away,’ and disclosed a keloid scar that developed from a mysterious bite which ‘turned into this crazy crater’ while she was shooting her latest film Eden in Australia.

“There are a lot of things that scare me, but that doesn’t stop me,” she explained, noting that when something frightens her, she typically feels driven to pursue it regardless, including skydiving despite being afraid of heights. “I’ll scream the whole way, but then I’ll want to do it again.”

Sweeney also looked back on fashion blunders from her teenage years, disclosing that some of her first high heels were actually Converse sneakers featuring wedge bottoms, a middle-school strategy to appear taller. The star stands at just 5’3.

“They were an interesting choice,” she confessed. “Sorry, Converse, but they were not it.”

Family holds great significance for the actress, especially her younger brother, who is deployed with the Air Force and currently based near London.

Sweeney mentioned that she’s never certain if she’ll be able to see him during holidays, but always prioritizes visiting him when her career brings her to Europe.

Though she aspired to act from an early age, Sweeney explained that the actual profession differs dramatically from her childhood expectations. As a youngster, it was purely about embodying characters, which became reality, but she had ‘no idea about everything else that came along with it.

‘ This year brought yet another dramatic makeover for Sweeney, who took on the challenging role of boxer Christy Martin – a part that demanded she pack on 30 pounds. Though she’s mastered the art of emotionally detaching from her characters, she confessed the physical transformation made it tougher to completely disconnect.

Sweeney has also jumped into the producer’s chair and played a hands-on role in getting The Housemaid made, sharing that she devoured the novel in a single session and relentlessly chased down the rights to the project.

Teaming up with Lionsgate, she was instrumental in putting the movie together and molding its artistic direction, and she gushed about her leading lady. “She’s my spirit animal,” Sweeney gushed, explaining how Amanda Seyfried has made her feel at ease and encouraged her to be authentic.
