British singer and producer Labrinth has taken to social media to issue a scathing statement announcing he is ‘done’ with music.

The 37-year-old ‘Earthquake’ star, who is responsible for the signature sound of Sam Levinson’s Euphoria series, took to Instagram earlier today (13 March) to share a post to his 1.2 million followers calling out his music label, Columbia Records, as well as the hit HBO drama, which will see its third season hitting screens next month (12 April) following a four-year hiatus.

The post reads: “I’M DONE WITH THIS INDUSTRY

“F*CK COLUMBIA.

“DOUBLE F*CK EUPHORIA.

“I’M OUT.

“THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT X.”

He shared the post without any caption, leaving fans in the comments to speculate on what possibly went down between the artist and his label.

Labrinth has handled the score for Euphoria since its first season, which came out back in 2019, and we went on to win an Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the song ‘All for Us’.

HBO, which is a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery, confirmed last year that Labrinth would return to score season three, this time alongside Hans Zimmer.

Set across eight episodes, the story jumps forward in time and moves the characters beyond high school, setting up the show’s closing chapter.

Zendaya is back as Rue Bennett, joined again by Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, the late Eric Dane, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Dominic Fike and Maude Apatow.

Colman Domingo returns as a guest star, while Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry move up to series regulars.

New additions include Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Kadeem Hardison, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Toby Wallace.

Dane tragically passed away aged 53 last month (19 February) following his diagnosis with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) last year.

While he may be most known for Grey’s Anatomy, Dane also starred as the Jacobs family patriarch, Cal, in Euphoria.

In an interview with PEOPLE back in April last year, Dane, who is survived by his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, and their two daughters, Billie and Georgia, explained: “I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to the set of Euphoria next week.

“I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time.”

Show creator Levinson shared a tribute following Dane’s passing, saying he was ‘heartbroken’ by the news.

He told Variety in a statement: “I’m heartbroken by the loss of our dear friend Eric. Working with him was an honour. Being his friend was a gift.”
