MANILA, Philippines — 2025 might be one of the years of plentiful breakups in the showbiz industry, but there are a lot of celebrities who found love this year.

Philstar.com lists down rumored and confirmed celebrity relationships this year.

Veteran showbiz host Ogie Diaz reported last September that “Incognito” co-stars Daniel Padilla and Kaila Estrada are currently dating.

Ogie added that a friend of his spotted them together in a Makati mall, grinning in each other’s presence.

“Wala naman silang tinapakan. Pareho naman silang single,” Ogie said, again leaving it to Daniel and Kaila whether to confirm or deny their relationship.

The two, however, are still mum about the real score between them.

Daniel was previously in an 11-year relationship with former love team partner Kathryn Bernardo, who is now reportedly dating Lucena Mayor Mark Alcala.

Sightings of Kathryn Bernardo and Lucena Mayor Mark Alcala together have circulated in different social media platforms. 

Talent manager and showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz shared on his “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update” YouTube channel a post from the Chika PH Reddit thread.

The post claimed that Kathryn and Mark were seen in the early hours of June 6 along BGC’s High Street. No picture was taken as both were reportedly rushed into a van.

Ogie later read out another post that claimed Kathryn and Mark were seen together in a skin care clinic in Quezon City, also on June 6.

“Napaka-sweet daw ng dalawa, hindi mapag-hiwalay. Nakakaloka!” Ogie said, pointing out that there is no issue if they are seeing each other since both are single.

He reiterated what he said before that people in Mark’s circle must keep quiet and refrain from taking pictures whenever Kathryn was around.

Romance rumors between Kathryn and Mark surfaced online after reports they were seeing each other as early as December last year.

Actor Enrique Gil and actress-beauty queen Franki Russell were spotted together at a beach resort in Bohol, fueling romance rumors last September.

Facebook user Natnat Wave Vibes posted photos of Enrique and Franki hanging out in Panglao, Bohol.

They also posed for photos with the Facebook user.

Enrique’s former reel-and-real love team partner, Liza Soberano, finally confirmed this year that they were no longer together for nearly three years.

Actresses Janella Salvador and Klea Pineda sparked rumors between them after their cozy photos surfaced online.

On her X account, Janella posted sweet photos of her with Klea and Jasmine Curtis-Smith, her co-stars in their Cinemalaya 2025 entry “Open Endings.”

“Ugh fine I’ll stop gatekeeping these photos,” Janella captioned the post of photos embracing Jasmine as she tagged the actress’ handle.

Klea was quick to respond on Janella’s post, replying with photos of her and Janella also hugging and teasing kisses on the cheek.

“Sige na nga ako din,” Klea wrote in her post. In reposting, Janella simply said “ay sus inunahan ako.”

Klea and Janella were spotted spending Christmas, cozying each other in La Union.

Bea Alonzo admitted that she and businessman Vincent Co are seeing each other last August.

Bea granted GMA News an exclusive interview on the sidelines of GMA Gala held at the Grand Ballroom of the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.

“I think it’s very obvious. Yeah, that we’re together,” she finally replied to the reporter who directly asked her the real score between her and the Puregold heir.

The actress initially shared that she wanted to keep her relationship private, following the highly publicized end of her engagement with actor Dominic Roque.

Actress Maymay Entrata appeared to confirm her new relationship with Filipino-American commercial model Joaquin Enriquez, after the latter posted a romantic beach video of them together on Instagram last October.

“I finally found my Iris,” Enriquez captioned the clip.

To this, Maymay replied, “My lover.”

The model responded, “Maymay, mahal kita.”

The video marks the first public confirmation of Maymay’s new romance since she broke up with non-showbiz boyfriend Aaron Haskell in April 2024. She and Haskell went public with their relationship in 2022.

Actress Chie Filomeno and businessman Matthew Lhuillier were spotted together in Cebu, fueling romance rumors between them.

The actress and heir of one of Cebu’s most prominent families were spotted together several times. They were seen in a Cebu grocery store where Matthew took photos of Chie with a fan.

Rumors that Chie and Matthew entered a romantic relationship began last September, some weeks after the actress reportedly called it quits with Jake Cuenca.

Last September 29, Chie released a statement regarding her and Jake, asking that the Lhuiller family not be dragged into her breakup with the actor.

“I’ve been reading and hearing a lot these past few days and I ask that my past relationship, my present life, and the Lhuillier family be left out of this issue,” Chie said at the time. “They don’t deserve to be dragged into something that has nothing to do with them.”

In another post, Chie said, “I may be a public figure, but I am not public property. I ask that my private life remains private.”

Former National Youth Commission (NYC) chairman Gio Tingson hard launched his relationship with actress Cristine Reyes on social media.

On his Instagram account, Gio posted several images of him and Cristine vacationing in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Rumors of a relationship between the two began last July when Cristine was spotted with the former NYC chairman.

According to veteran showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz, Cristine has moved on from her relationship with fellow actor Marco Gumabao.

Actress Rita Daniela admitted that she was the one who initiated the first move on her cager boyfriend McLaude Guadaña.

The singer-actress narrated how she met the Lyceum of the Philippines University player during her guesting in Boy Abunda’s afternoon show.

“Nag-simula dahil kay Xavier Ramos na anak ni Wendell Ramos na nakita ko lang actually sa Instagram Story niya. Tapos sabi ko, ‘Luh, parang cute ‘to,’” she said.

Rita followed McLaude after seeing him on Xavier’s Instagram story.

Rita first confirmed her relationship with McLaude in an interview with GMA last October 6.
