Olivia Attwood told friends Love Island rival Maura Higgins has been mirroring her every move – career choices, fashion and friendships – and has jokingly referred to her as a ‘stalker’
As both women try to make their mark in the world of television, it’s hardly surprising a bit of competition would be brewing between Olivia Attwood and Maura Higgins. However, now it seems their once-harmless rivalry has taken a new turn, with Olivia, 34, reportedly telling friends Maura is attempting to copy her every move.
According to insiders, Olivia has even said she feels as though she is becoming her ‘stalker’. It was perviously reported the This Morning guest host was left furious after Maura was seen posing alongside Parisian fashion influencer Michael Coste on Instagram – just days after Olivia had shared a photo with him.
Both women have also been making moves in the United States, after signing with the same agency, Align PR. And it seems Maura is already carving out her own path, having secured a role on the US version of The Traitors. The news comes in the wake of Olivia’s split from her husband of three years, Bradley Dack.
Speaking to The Sun, a source claimed: “Olivia is obviously going through a lot at the moment and trying to piece her life back together, but she has been left bemused that Maura has continued to mirror her playbook. She even jokes with her friends that Maura is her stalker.”
They added: “There is no love lost between them and they have become very skilled at ignoring each other on the red carpet and at parties. Olivia is just amazed that these things keep happening, although she knows that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
Olivia appeared on Love Island in 2017, followed by Maura two years later, the Mirror reports. Both had initially been signed to the PR agency Dundas Communications, which boasts of clients such as Dermot O’Leary, Billie Piper and TV presenter Emma Willis.
Olivia reportedly noticed they were being put forward for similar roles, which prompted her to switch agencies. She moved to Align PR and shortly afterward, Maura followed suit. However, sources close to Maura have previously insisted it wasn’t a case of her copying Olivia.
When it comes to the red carpet, Olivia and Maura had an awkward moment in November when they both arrived wearing black dresses at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York.
Beyond fashion, tensions also arose over Olivia’s close friendship with former TOWIE star Pete Wicks, who had been dating Maura for a few months in 2024.
After six months, the couple decided to part ways with Maura believing he had been unfaithful. Following the split, Pete and Olivia began co-hosting their own Kiss FM radio show, which reportedly upset Maura, who felt he should have remained more loyal to her.
A source said: “She asked him if he really had to do the radio show with Olivia, as she felt his loyalties should lie with her. The whole Âsituation left her feeling uneasy.”
After Maura suggested she believed Pete had been cheating on her, Olivia quickly came to his defence, saying she is very “protective of her friends” and went on to add he is “very loyal. If he’s in your corner you’ll know he’ll be there for you.”
