Nicky Byrne is getting set for a big weekend, which will see him celebrate a full circle moment in style.
The Westlife star used to be a regular part of our Sunday evenings as a host on Dancing With The Stars, and we’ve missed him on our TV screens since he waltzed away from the show in 2022.
So imagine our delight when we heard that he’ll be back in the ballroom this weekend with a special new role to help the show mark a milestone occasion.
Sunday will be the RTÉ series’ 100th episode, and it’s going all out for the big moment, inviting a number of familiar faces back for a glitzy party.
Nicky, who hosted the first five seasons, will be back in a new role and act as a judge for one night only, a role which he’s made for considering his showbiz experience.

As well as his own performing career, Nicky competed on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2012, reaching the quarter-finals, so he knows just what it takes to be in a celeb talent show.
Chatting about his return to the show, Nicky said: ‘I couldn’t be more excited to be heading back to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom.
‘The show has been a massive part of my life for nearly 15 years — I’ve been a contestant on Strictly in the UK, I hosted five incredible seasons in Ireland, and now I get to be a judge for one night only. It really is a full-circle moment for me.
‘I’m really looking forward to the performances on the night because at the end of the day it’s all about the celebrities, professionals and the journey they’re on.

‘I’ve been in those dance shoes before… I know the nerves, the pressure and the adrenaline, so I’ll definitely be encouraging and supportive… and if Brian gets out of line, I’ll be the first one sticking up for them!
‘I can’t wait to see all my friends from the cast and crew again. It’s going to be such a special night — you only turn 100 once so as a great man once said, “It’s going to be ‘Box Office!”’

In another twist to mark the 100th episode, the final seven couples will each be coached by a Dancing with the Stars All-Star mentor on the night.
Des Cahill, Jake Carter, Mairéad Ronan, Ryan Andrews, Jordan Conroy, Brooke Scullion, and Blu Hydrangea are all returning to help out.
