Apple Martin has finally broken her silence on rumors that she was expelled for ‘bullying’ after being dubbed a ‘mean girl’ after a viral social media video from 2024.
Apple addressed the rumors by sharing an Instagram comment to her Stories, writing, “just a quick little message from myself.”
The nepo baby wrote, “Hi! I didn’t wanna respond, but this narrative is completely false and has gotten so out of hand. I have never been expelled from any school, especially not for bullying anyone.”
Her statement continued, “I completely understand ppl not liking m,e and that is okay! The internet is a place where ppl can share their opinions. But this rumor is completely untrue, I am not that type of person, and anyone who is close to me knows that [heart emoji].”
The ‘mean girl’ accusations stemmed from a rumor that Apple, who currently attends Vanderbilt University, was expelled from a Los Angeles high school for ‘bullying.’
In December 2024, a TikTok video of her public debut at the Hotel Shangri-La in Paris went viral, in which she appeared to steal the spotlight from one of the other 19 debutantes at the ball. Apple, wearing a sky-blue ruffled Maison Valentino gown, seemed to jump in front of Aliénor Loppin de Montmort and vamp for the camera as she struck several poses.Â
The French countess spoke out after the incident, clarifying that Apple is “genuinely the nicest girl ever” in a statement to People, “towards not only me but all the debs!” Allénor added, “She really doesn’t deserve an ounce of what she’s getting.”
Apple has also been hit with nepo baby accusations after deciding to pursue modeling, singing, and acting, making her disastrous musical debut last October.
Around the same time, Apple spoke to The Telegraph about being raised by celebrity parents who support her entertainment industry aspirations, saying that she makes a point to “constantly remind myself how grateful I am to have these opportunities.”
The aspiring theater actress added, “I know this is not a normal way to grow up by any means, but my parents did a really good job of instilling in me that I shouldn’t be entitled to anything. I have to work.”
