South African reality TV star and singer Londie London is keeping it real about why her acting journey came to a sudden stop and it all comes down to one moment that didn’t sit right with her.

Speaking on the “Read The Room,” part of the Podcast and Chill Network, London sat down with hosts Shamiso Mosaka and Phil Mphela and unpacked the experience that made her step away from the craft completely.

Best known for her time on “The Real Housewives of Durban,” London explained that acting was never her trained field and that lack of preparation played a major role in what happened next.

“First of all, I am not a trained actress and there was no trainer to prepare us for these types of scenes, so nobody told me what to expect,” she said.

The star went on to describe filming an intimate scene that quickly became overwhelming. Wearing lingerie and acting opposite a male co-star, Londie said the situation escalated in a way she wasn’t mentally prepared for.

“I was very confused about what was happening,” she shared.

That moment became the turning point. Instead of pushing through discomfort for the sake of the role, London chose herself.

“I swore to myself that I would never take up acting again. I had a horrible experience when filming that hot scene with this man.”

While she kept the production and actor’s identity under wraps, she did admit there was some on-screen chemistry just not the kind she was interested in exploring off-screen.

“He was actually very hot… but he was way younger than me. If I am older than a guy, maybe by two or even three years, then he is just a boy to me,” she added.

London has previously dipped her toes into acting with appearances on shows like “The Wife” on Showmax but it’s clear that chapter is now closed.
