American rapper Latto (real name Alyssa Michelle Stephens) confirmed that she is expecting her first child after months of online speculation.

The 27-year-old first teased the announcement with a clip shared on Thursday, March 19, and revealed that there would be a huge reveal at midnight.

In the short video, she’s seen walking towards a baby cheetah, before feeding it from a bottle and says in the video, “I had to give y’all time to miss me. Before you run the game, you gotta take baby steps to go a distance.

“Listening to every beat, feeling every kick. Ever since I was a little girl, I always dreamt of having my own. Now it’s time for me to deliver,” she says.

Despite the cryptic message, fans quickly understood what she was trying to convey and connected the dots, saying that she will be announcing her pregnancy.

The baby cheetah, the baby bottle, saying she’s feeling every kick, and now it’s time for her to deliver? It can’t all be a coincidence.

Well, it turns out, the fans were right with their predictions because at midnight, not only did she confirm that she is pregnant, but she also shared that her upcoming album, “Big Mama”, will be released on May 29.

Latto also gave fans a glimpse of what they can expect in the upcoming album as she released an intro single titled “Business & Personal” and a music video, and she flaunts her baby bump on it.

Even though she did not reveal the identity of the baby’s father, fans spotted that in a pregnancy picture book, Latto included a baby photo of fellow rapper 21 Savage (real name Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph) in the music video.

Both rappers have kept their relationship under wraps despite online rumours that they are dating, and it was only in October 2025 that she decided to confirm that she is dating 21 Savage in an interview with “TMZ”.

Speculation about her pregnancy started in October 2025 when fans thought they saw a baby bump during her performance in Japan.

Latto denied the rumours at the time, joking that her bump was just a result of eating too much Japanese food in a now-archived Instagram post.

The “Big Energy” rapper was congratulated by many celebrities, including Mariah the Scientist, Cardi B, Angel Reese, Kehlani and more.
