The 26-year-old rising country singer said to be Keith Urban’s new love has laughed off reports he has moved in with her.

“Y’all this is absolutely ridiculous and untrue,” Karley Scott Collins posted to Instagram on Sunday (US time).

It follows reports across US media that 58-year-old Urban has moved in with her, just a fortnight after finalising his divorce from Aussie star Nicole Kidman.

The 19-year marriage of the Oscar-winning actor and the Grammy-winning country singer ended in September, with Kidman, also 58, filing for divorce.

While the superstar split came as a surprise to fans, it had clearly been in the works for a while. All the legal issues involving assets and custody had been settled and signed the day of her filing.

However, Tennessee – where Urban and Kidman had their family home – requires a 90-day waiting period for couples with minor children before a divorce can be finalised. The stars share two teenage daughters – Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.

A Nashville judge issued an order officially dissolving the marriage on January 7.

At the weekend, reports emerged that New Zealand-born Urban had moved out of the family home and was renovating a studio in Music Row, in Nashville’s historic entertainment district. He was said to be working on his music and living with Collins.

“I hear he [Urban] has someone, which is why the girls are publicly supporting Mum,” an insider told the Daily Mail.

“People think they are even living together. Look, teen girls love their dads, so there’s a reason they’re making it three against one.”

Collins, who released her debut album in September, is said to have first encountered Urban early in 2024 – when she sent him a song for a possible collaboration. In December 2024, she was announced as one of the opening acts for his High and Alive tour.

“It’s amazing being on the road with Keith. He’s an incredible entertainer, and I respect him so much … and I’ve learned a lot watching him,” she said.

At the end of the tour, Collins shared a tribute post to Urban.

“I grew and learned and changed enough in these 5 months to last me a decade, made some lifelong friendships, and I got to do it all next to my family who I call a band + crew,” she wrote.

“I’m still not sure I haven’t woken up from a dream yet, but if it is, it sure is a good one.”

However, amid widening speculation of a romance with Urban, she posted to her Instagram Story, with a screenshot of an article headlined “Keith Urban moved in with GF Karley Scott Collins? Fresh speculation amid divorce”.

Urban has previously been linked to 25-year-old guitarist Maggie Baugh, a utility player on the same tour. But one of Baugh’s friends, country musician Alexandra Kay, shut down that story.

“Honestly, I was heartbroken for them because the media scrutiny is insane and the things that people say,” Kay told Taste of Country.

“They’re like, stirring up rumours about Maggie Baugh, and I’m like, ‘She’s a good friend of mine and I know that’s absolutely not true’.”

Two of the biggest stars to come out of Australia in recent decades, Kidman and Urban met in Los Angeles in 2005 and wed in Sydney the following year.

They were red carpet fixtures throughout their two-decade relationship, with Urban joining his wife at the Oscars and Kidman attending music events like the Academy of Country Music Awards.

The couple had publicly but lovingly described some marital difficulties, yet there were still few outward signs the divorce was coming.

Their divorce filing said they had “marital difficulties and irreconcilable differences”.

The marriage was the first for Urban and the second for Kidman, who was married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001. She has two adult children with Cruise.
