Justin Timberlake has been left fuming over plans for Britney Spearslong-awaited biopic — and a source says he isn’t staying quiet about his feelings.

Set to be directed by Jon M. Chu of Wicked fame, the flick is based on the pop star’s 2023 memoir The Woman in Me, which portrayed the “Better Place” singer in a negative light.

“Justin is seething about being painted as the villain once again,” the source tells Star. “He doesn’t want his name dragged through the mud in every multiplex on the planet, so Justin’s been using some of his power to let industry insiders know how displeased he is.”

Among Spears’ unsavory accusations in the book were that the ’NSync alum “slept around” during their three-year relationship, pushed her into getting an abortion and ended things in 2002 via “text message,” as recapped by Today, com.

“When he left me I was devastated,” she wrote. “When I say devastated, I mean I could barely speak for months.”

Making matters worse, the “Toxic” songstress, 44, said in the book that she had to deal with being publicly shamed as a cheater herself after Timberlake’s song “Cry Me a River” came out later that year.

“Britney’s love life goes hand-in-hand with the story of her music and her fame,” insists Star’s source. “There’s no getting around that, no matter how many tantrums Justin throws.”

Unfortunately for her 45-year-old ex, the biopic is moving forward despite Spears’ DUI arrest this March, according to TMZ.

“The bosses at Universal are long-term thinkers and can weather Britney’s latest series of problems,” says the source. “They want to spend millions of dollars to tell her story.”
