Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell are on cloud nine after welcoming their first child to the world.

The couple, who first met when they were partnered together on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, announced on Wednesday that their baby boy was born on Monday, March 16.

The news comes weeks after Joe was forced to hit out at a fake AI baby announcement, which confused and hurt their loved ones.

On Wednesday, Joe shared a gorgeous photo of their newborn son, swaddled in a blanket and wearing a knitted blue hat. Another snap shows valiant mum Dianne cradling her baby boy.

A final picture shows Joe carrying their son, to whom they’ve given an unusual name, out of the hospital in his car seat. Standard!

Joe and Dianne, who announced they were expecting in September, have named their son ‘Bowden’, a name of Old English origin meaning ‘dweller by the top of a hill’.

‘Never felt a love like it. Baby Bowden Mark Richard Sugg. 16/03/26,’ the YouTuber wrote.

‘Utter perfection. So happy for you both, welcome baby Bowden! I can’t wait for cwtches xxxx,’ the couple’s Strictly pal Amy Dowden penned.

Elsewhere, their co-star Vito Coppola wrote: ‘Oh, finally. Bello di zio. I am so, so happy, crying for joy and happiness. Uncle Vito cannot wait to meet you. Love love love. Bellissimo a zio.’

And Strictly’s Nancy Xu commented: ‘Untie Nancy can’t wait to meet you. Welcome to the world, my beautiful angel. CONGRATULATIONS MY D D and @joe_sugg.’

Dianne later shared another post clarifying how her son’s name should be pronounced. Alongside a photo of herself and Joe holding their newborn’s hand, she wrote: ‘Bowden Sugg.

‘Pronounced Bow like How not Bow like Row… hopefully that makes sense.’ Cute!
