The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Women in Entertainment event, held on Wednesday in Beverly Hills featured a bevy of high-profile stars on the red carpet, many of whom channeled modern elegance in their respective looks.
While stars such as Kerry Washington opted for a textural jacquard, others like Dakota Johnson favored a classic little black dress. Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow and more brought their own unique brand of fashion to the red carpet, too. WWD breaks down those looks and more ahead.

Lopez put her own spin on skirt suit styling with a monochrome approach. The “Kiss of the Spider Woman” star wore a blazer-inspired, long-sleeve top with a plunging neckline and subtle waistline pockets. The look featured some fabric draping at the neckline, and the midi skirt of the ensemble was cut with a flowing silhouette. Lopez coordinated her look with taupe suede pumps. The singer and actress often collaborates with styling team Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi.
Gwyneth Paltrow

Paltrow brought a classic color combo together with her long-sleeve, crisp white midi dress and red pumps. The dress featured a front slit and column silhouette, evoking a modern approach to the design. The white tweed gave the look a textural feel, while Paltrow’s red pump gave her overall attire a pop.

Washington opted for a design from Jonathan Simkhai’s eponymous label. The actress wore the coordinated Zander Jacquard bustier top and Vionna Jacquard midi skirt from the fall 2025 collection. The strapless top and skirt featured waxed jacquard for a textural element, patterned with botanical elements. Washington paired the look with metallic pointed toe pumps. The actress often collaborates with styling team Zangardi and Haenn.

Chase Infiniti went for asymmetry in a look by Proenza Schouler. Styled by collaborators Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald, the “One Battle After Another” breakout star’s charcoal gray dress featured a high neckline and one-shoulder silhouette. Fabric draping was a major motif throughout the look, incorporated into the bodice and through pleating on the maxiskirt.
Dakota Johnson

Johnson went classic in a sleek little black dress from Khaite. The “Splitsville” star’s sleeveless look featured a hemline just below the knee and was coordinated with a pair of black pumps from the New York-based brand.
The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Women in Entertainment Gala spotlighted the contributions and careers of distinguished stars working in the industry. Hosted by Rachel Sennott at The Beverly Hills Hotel, Lopez was honored with the Equity in Entertainment Award, while Paltrow was the recipient of the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award.
